World Links is a pilot project launched by the World Bank in 1997, with the aim to introduce computer and Internet to learning environments in developing countries. The main message of this paper is a need to collectively change the approach to the learning process. Ten lessons, produced by this pilot, suggest that ICT can improve learning outcomes, boost economic opportunities, promote greater creativity and fulfill the dreams of disadvantaged youth in developing countries
